The primary difference between the German (Albert) system Clainets and the more common French (Boehm) system Clarinets are the lower keys played by the little finger of the right hand. The Boehm system uses 4 individual keys for the lower notes and the Albert system uses two roller combination keys to activate the lower notes of the instrument.
